I didn’t think I’d miss the PlayStation network as much as I have. Didn’t know I enjoy “Black Ops” like I did. And now that I have gotten my first taste of FPS action, I’ve given Modern Warfare 2 and now I can see how much Black Ops suck in comparison. I mean, I’ve had my fun playing, but graphics wise it’s not even a contest.
The Cincinnati Bengals suck. I get it, and Carson Palmer definitely gets it, which is why he’d rather go into a premature retirement than play another down for the Bengals. That’s saying something. For those that are actually familiar with that situation, Bengal management just flat out refuse to trade him for some reason. It’s one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen in sports. Barry Sanders retired under the same circumstances, so it can’t be too far fetched that Palmer wouldn’t do the same thing.
Really enjoying the NBA playoffs so far. It’s been a pleasure to see Memphis take out San Antonio and take OKC to a game 7. The Lakers not making the Finals, I called that. But getting swept, mercilessly, by DALLAS? Couldn’t write it any better. I wonder though, if and when Miami wins the championship, will the general public actually love them, or hate them even more?
I haven’t played any fantasy football in a while now, and if they decide to lockout, that would really piss me off.
Music time for me has plummetted down to unspeakable lows due to fatherhood duties. AND I lost a song off my laptop recently because I’m too much of a geek messing with various Linux distributions. I’m still gathering ideas for a variety of projects, but there’s not enough time in the day to implement them and get my precious 4-6 hrs of sleep.
I think I’m officially bored with anime. If there’s something out there that’s remotely interesting that I’m missing, please let me know. Only thing I’m waiting to see is Rebuild of Evangelion saga completed, and this new Tekken CG joint. Oh, and don’t recommend me some ol’ fisher price, DragonballZ/Naruto crap. I like my anime introspective, thoughtful, action packed, and beautifully violent. Don’t need all that “fan service” either.
I’ve got my discography started @ Discogs recently. Sign in, make comments, hype up my work to make me look more legit.
Try Durarara. Its pretty good. Not super violent but definitely introspective. Love your music by the way. Oh, and Golgo 13; you can’t go wrong with Golgo.
I will do that. Thx for the suggestion and your ears….
anything yasuhiro nightow (gungrave, trigun), anything miyazaki, anything hosoda mamoru (summer wars), anything isao takahata, anything yoshifumi kondo. those are some of the greats responsible for this modern state of affairs, where animation in itself is widely acknowledged as a potent mode of artistic expression. these are some of the guys who have striven to maintain and breathe new life into that perception as the form matures. you’re really doing yourself a disservice by writing off any art form i think. no wanton violence here, though, just pure sophistication and meaningful cross-sections about life.
old post, but figured i’d comment anyway… anime by the name of Monster. if u havent seen it yet, check it. and your beats are great!
Thx for checking out the site. Monster is a quality series, I’m currently watching Golgo13.
