Since I REGULARLY update this site.....
I've been editing this page with updates strong since October 10th. For those actually around to notice, thank you. There are a few changes....
I've added download links to the right just above the player to all my older material (in order of completion)and Service Pack 1. I figure they should be available here rather than SoundClick. This also give me the chance to take down Service Pack 1 in favor of some new material. I just haven't made up my mind on what to add.
If you go to the store, you will see a new purchase button for Freon. Yeah, I'm going to test the Mp3 market. A little bit cheaper than the cd ($7.00) and Paypal distribution is still in effect for now.
Meanwhile, My next project, The Chameleon Dynamic", has hit a minor bump in the road. I'm still working on it, it's just going to take a little bit more time. In the meantime, an EP of sorts will take it's place in the form of "Sound Design". It is complete, but a CD release is going to take at least 3 months. So to speed things up a little bit, I've decided to release it MP3 as well. I just have to figure out the best option/medium to put it out there. I'm open to suggestions, so feel free to hit me up.
Thank you all as always for listening.

A few notes....
www.soundclick.com/obsidianblue
All of my older junk is there for free download.
www.myspace.com/obsidianblue
The Myspace page.
Various people in the past month have been inquiring about how to get to my music. So, for those that "Musta Forgot", There you go. Look to the right on the front page of Obsidianblue.com and you'll see the store where you can purchase "Soul Conditioning" & "Freon".
I'm going to start up a mailing list again. I lost previous mailing lists, so I'm pretty sure that I will not have everyone that might want some news concerning yours truly. So the mailing list is basically going to consist of anyone that has purchased a CD from me. I've still have at least 300 paypal receipts with email addresses on them, so I'll use those. Anyone else that wants to get on the mailing list, just email me @ NautilusNT@gmail.com.
And now, welcome to "Future Projects"
The Chameleon Dynamic - This summer if we're lucky
Beautiful Things - Ballad Instrumental project in the works (Feb 08?)
The Epoxy - Vivid Strokes of Reality - Still in progress
You'll be hearing music from all of those projects in the months to come. I've still got a .zip file of older colabs & Remixes to upload, and I might have time for Service Pack 2.
I'm trying my best to hustle to get all this material out there so there won't be that "where's Obsidian Blue" question. But quite frankly, I'd rather take my time and do it right the first time.
That should do it for now. Thank you all once again for checking me out. There's a poll on Okayplayer.com asking the masses where Freon stands musically. I'd love to gauge everyone's opinion.

And we're back
Lets's see here....
1. Thanks Jilly for updating my movable type. Now I won't have to delete as many comments trying to get me to explore the various adventures of girls under 18 and the midgets who love them.
2. Happy New Year!!!! You know, no matter how many famous people that died before the new year (James Brown, Gerald Ford, Saddam Hussain) there are soo many more ordinary people that did but wasn't worthy of CNN coverage. Think about that.
3. How's the Service Pack? I've recieved nothing but good things about this, which makes kinda worried for some reason (somebody's gotta say it's wack sometime). Anyway, I've got this new "Forbidden Elixir" in the player, consisting of samples provided by RJD2 via Okayplayer.com.
4. Happy Birthday Dad! His Birthday was on the 12 of this month, marking it 2 years since Freon's release. Man, I've got to release something new.
5. Don't be afraid to leave comments or hit up the guestbook.

Questions?
Since I don't have a forum (and don't really have the need for one just yet) Let's get a question/answer session going. Email me at lividparadox@hotmail.com with "O-Blue Question" in the subject line, and i'll post the question and answer on this website. To start off, I've already got a couple...
1. Will there be a Service Pack 2?
No, not right away anyway. What I think I will do is add like 5-11 more beats, take out a lot of the Omni/Beatfanatic/Freon stabs and call something like Service Pack 1 Beta 2 and sell it for like 5-7 dollars. I don't know yet. I would like to have at least 35-40 beats on the CD before I even think about packaging it.
2. When will The Chameleon Dynamic be finished?
Well, as of right now, I'm in the middle of a bind concerning that project. I think I might even change the name, but I'm trying not to. Once I can gather a central theme together and musical direction, I'll be fine. But for the moment, I still don't see it being finished until next year sometime, concidering that I still have Epoxy business to attend to.
3. Any particular reason why it takes so long to get CD's when they are ordered?
Well, since Paypal and I are handling distribution, I just send them through first class mail and be done with it. As we all know, the USPS sucks at times. Some locations are faster than others. Also, some times i'm kinda slow getting to the post office either because of my work schedule or lack of CD's (which I'm going to have to get more pressed up soon)In the future projects, I'll be using priority mail. I'll also explore UPS, but i'm sure it's going to more than priority mail. Also, don't be afraid to email me if there are any concerns.
Keep these Questions coming. As long as they are not TOO out there, i'll reply.

...And back to business.
I'm pretty sure that my man below wouldn't want his family grieving over him for that long. Once again, peace to family and friends, and thanks those who signed the questbook sending condolences.
So, let's see what has happened since then........
Since i've started to move into a house, 3 of those have fallen through, so I'm still in an apartment surrounded by boxes. About a month later, Brandie and I leave for South Carolina for her family reunion. I'm happy cause i'm leaving Oklahoma, but then i'm also pissed because my laptop screen chose to die again for the 3rd time right before this trip, so I couldn't work on any material. Then there's the drive back(oh yeah, we drove 20 hours there and another 20 hours back, no stops aside from gas and more gas) that we run into a little rain from that b!%#h Katrina. Peace to all the families affected. Has anyone seen or heard from Rod Deloach?
Anyway, the drive was wonderful because there was no arguments between Brandie and I. Then I return to the apartment with all the damn boxes and contemplate how many more homes would fall through my fingers. So far, another one bites the dust.
Hopfully, I'll be in something before October, so with this housing setback, I'd like to make a few announcements.....
1. I just got another 100 CD's of Freon. I just hooked my main computer BACK up so now I can make those copies of Soul Conditioning that I need to send some folks. Peeps that have recent (or in most cased 'delayed')orders will be getting them pretty soon. Thanks for your patience.
2. The Epoxy project with myself and Lunchbox is about at the halfway point. Lunch already has a few joints from this project on his EP, "Don't Say I Aint Never Gave You Anything". Run to the OMNi Website to pick that up. Also, we hope to get tracks on other mixtapes in the near future. I'll let you know.
3. After 40 hours on the highway last week, I decided to release a psudo-mixtape consisting of my first side projects with MC's, as well as a few remixes on the side. Look for "Joint Audio Sessions", Vol 1" sometime around January. This offering should hold you all until "The Auditory Nerve" is finished.
As for the player, I have no idea of what i'm going to add or remove for this update. I plan on making those changes this weekend to this site and to all my others (Soundclick, Myspace, why use my bandwidth for downloading?) Thanks for visiting.

....and more stuff.
I'd like to start off thanking those that check the site daily, waiting for me to add something new....
I've been really busy this month with my actual job, and this new schedule will last untill the middle of May. Thus the reason why I haven't had time to update the site, add new music, make new music, and so on. Plenty is going on in my life, so let's check this story out as we move down the line (line) (line) (line).....
April 9th marks 6 months that I have been married. Those first four months were pretty "interesting" to say the least. No blood lost, so every thing is good.
I have recently been robbed. Some one broke into my truck and took my stereo, amplifier, the subwoofer under the back seat, a pair of my basketball shoes(neglected to take the ball that was in the back seat), and ate my damn candy. Insert stereotypical black name here. The window they broke has been fixed, but I'll be rolling in a disturbed silence for another 3 weeks. I say disturbed because people out in Oklahoma can't drive(still ain't got nothing on DC drivers), and all I hear outside of the silence are horns, a lil' cussing, and a reck every now and again.
While i'm losing one system, I'm gaining another though. I have finaly aquired some studio monitors (thanks Metah) and by the end of next week, I should have the proper sound card to run them through. Prepare for a new sound, suckas.
Speaking of next week, the 29th = payday = my 27th birthday. No need for props, congrats, or "what color wheelchair you want" remarks. I'm not even gonna ask for anything(shoe size = 11.5), for i'm just happy (shirt size, XXL) to be alive to type (buy Freon) this message.
Subliminal or not. Tee hee.
More music is coming to the jukebox, as well as an update concerning my present projects. Thanks for stopping by.

I'm chill....
Despite all that has happened to me in the past 2 months out side of music. Nope, won't discuss that here; this isn't reality TV. I've been bouting with mixing techniques all this month, thus my absence from this website, message boards, blah blah blah. Oh yeah, if anyone wants to donate a pair of studio monitors to yours truly, just drop me some mail....
First up, Omni dammit! Donnie Seals Jr shot a short documentary of the crew which can be found . Damn shame that this film was the first time i'm seen all of these cats with the exception of Lunchbox. Speaking of which, The Epoxy project is coming along quite nicely, all mixing problems aside.
I just know I've got more news, so i'll be back later on with that...

October 9th
That would be the date of my wedding aniversary. After all the emotional turmoil; the arguments, dealing with some family issues, breaking some hearts & loosing a friendship(that was all my fault, truthfully), and finacial woes for just a beautiful 15 minute ceremony, I can say that it was all worth it to Mrs. Brandie Wesley and I. Meanwhile, that %*G$A in the back of both of our heads has PLENTY TO SAY.......
But not on this website. "Blue Luv da kids", after all.....
After the photo opps, first and last dance(I just don't do that), heartwarming speeches, well, just one speech actually, and Kristal sippin(right), we voyage on to Hawaii, staying on base for as little as $36 a night. After that, the bargains were no where to be found. I believe gas was $2.38 while I was there, just to get a clue. All we really did was eat, sight see, to the beach, got lost around the island, and, eh, um...Played "Video Games". Yeah, that's right. We played a decent amount of "video games"..........I'll have pictures of the wedding and Hawaii in the gallery momentarily. No "video game" footage however.
And now, nearly a month later, things are getting back to normal. No, it doesn't feel any different than when I was just engaged or mearly just "going steady". And don't ask me how it feels, either. Ask me mess like that when I make my first offspring.
Now, I can get back to music business. Now that the financial burden is gone, I can figure out how and when I can press up "Freon" for release. I would like to say it will be out by Christmas, but that depends on the state of the funds. Anything can happen. I've got new music in the player and a more in depth explaination of what's going on with the sound below.....

Welcome. Wipe your feet.
Wow, everybody and their momma's 4th cousin on they daddy's Aunt's side of potato salad got a dotcom now......
So here it is, in all mystery and splendor. Welcome to ObsidianBlue.com, your official source on the net for the latest info about yours truly. If you wish to be added on the mailing list, email me with 'Blue Mailing List' in the subject line. Don't fret, I'm not going to spam your inboxes with porn and wet dreams of debt consolidation; just info on project releases, site updates, and that source of relief as to when "Freon" is to be released. Right now, I'd say late November......
Let's see, material that I'm working on.........
Well for starters, Lunchbox and I form "The Epoxy". We decided to drop our "Dianetic" moniker after finding out about the cult that is The Church of Scientology. Lord knows, I'm to poor to be sued, and besides, Lunch and I don't want to be associated with anything fake. Anyway, the music is coming along day by day. "Vivid Strokes Of Reality" will be something to look forward to.
Meanwhile, I'm trying best to make as much music as possible. I just finished a joint with Shaya Beyonder, DVS of Omni should be hiting anyday now with some lyrics, I've got an upcoming EP with DaiN, gotta hit EAF and K-Hill with something soon, and Mercury Waters, Metah and I have also formed a group, although we are lost when it comes to thinking about a name for the group. Illwill and Tanya Morgan material is chillin, while I've really gotta get on the ball with the Chicago Embassy. Eyezon, I haven't forgot, and I still owe Slopfunkdust a beat cd. Slowly but surely, I'll have all this knocked out before I check into to a clinic somewhere..........
Trust me, I've been quite the busy one with various projects, going to school, and paying and planning my wedding. Yes, I'm getting married on October 9th, for those who don't know. If I failed to mention it, I sincerely apologize.
Look everyone, I've got a media player!!!!! The sounds are basically rough previews of material except for "Beneath the Fantasy", "Back Again, and "Midnight Euphoria"(Freon Trk). I shall continually update the media player with material, but I'll still give away the occasional freebie on my Soundclick page. In fact, check for new Shaya Beyonder and Epoxy (Lunchbox and I) tracks in the next few days.
I'm about done typing, so allow me to send special props to the woman Jilly Hunter, builder of this site. Thank you for all your help throughout all of this.
Check out the gallery and links, sign the guestbook, and just chill. Oh yeah, I'm going to kill the "Soul Conditioning" page on Soundclick. Thank you to all of those that downloaded that. You can still find it on Soulseek, or you can purchase it here in the store.
Thank you all for coming. Keep listening......
